Senior Night 2020
The Barton Lady Bears would like to honor our 3 seniors. Haylie Bartlett, Carrington Finley, and Amber Smith deserve praise and recognition for their hard work and achievements. Tonight April 24, 2020 would have been the last time that they would have played on this field. Due to circumstances beyond their control that was changed to March 3, 2020. Like many others, they have handled this situation with dignity and class. I cannot express how proud I am of these young ladies. Senior night would have gone something similar to this.
At this time, I would like to recognize our senior Lady Bear softball players.
#24 Amber Smith. Amber is escorted by Cliffton Anderson (brother). She has played softball for 2 years. During her time at Barton she also participated in football and enjoyed spending her time tutoring her classmates. She is on the A B honor roll and has received numerous individual academic awards. She plans to attend Arkansas State University and major in Accounting with a minor in Business and Management. She dreams of graduating with a masters and working for UAMS and private businesses. Ladies and gentlemen Amber Smith.
#3 Carrington Finley. Carrington is escorted by Christopher and Mary Finley. She has played softball for 2 years at Barton and several years leading up. She has been a member of the school choir during her younger years. She is on the A B honor roll. She plans to attend Phillips County Community College where she plans to pursue a business degree with the dreams of one day running her own business.
#8 Haylie Bartlett. Haylie is escorted by Brian Bartlett. She has played softball for 3 years at Barton and several years leading up. During her time as a Lady Bear, she has been the teamβs top hitter award winner 2 times. She ran track for the Lady Bears for 1 year. She is President of Skills USA, a club that she has been a part of for the past 3 years. She has participated in FCCLA for 1 year. She has also been invited to the honors banquet and is in the top 10 of her class. She plans to attend Phillips County Community College and later the Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy where she will train to become a police officer. Ladies and gentlemen Haylie Bartlett.
All 3 ladies were part of the conference runner-up team of 2019. These ladies have shown the work ethic that it takes to be successful after school. The Barton Lady Bears thank you ladies for your commitment. We want to wish you the very best in your future endeavors.
