Due to the predicted forecast of extreme heat index levels, the Jr. High football game at home on Thursday, 8/24/23 and the Sr. High football game at Dewitt on Friday, 8/25/23, have been delayed to 8:00 p.m. There will not be a 7th grade game on Thursday, 8/24/23. As we get closer to the end of the week, there could possibly be further delays according to the WBGT reading. More information will be posted if there are any changes. Go Bears! 🐻
Tomorrow, August 14, 2023 kicks off a new school year! School begins at 7:50 and ends at 3:15. High School students report to the gym and Elementary students report to the cafeteria before 7:50. Tomorrow only, high school students have a meeting in the gym at 8:00 so students will not report to 1st period immediately. Please review the bus route changes at www.bartonsd.org/page/new-school-year The Admin drive next to the bank is EXIT ONLY between 7:30 and 8:00 a.m and 3:00 to 3:45 p.m. Please do not turn into the drive the enter campus during the exit only times.

Open House is TODAY, 8/10/23!!! 2:00-6:00! We are so excited to see everyone!
The school nurse will be available during open house. Parents are encouraged to bring student's medication if it needs to be given during the school day to Open House. Also, please bring epi pens or inhalers if your child needs those in emergency situations.
Chromebook Care/ charger pick up will be in the cafeteria lobby during Open House. $30 for the fist student and $20 for each additional student in the house. CASH ONLY!

Volleyball practice begins this Monday, July 10. Jr High practice is 9:00-11:00. Jr High volleyball practice time will be adjusted to accommodate cheer camp. Coach Carpino will give players that information on Monday. Sr High practice is 12:00-2:00. Players need to report to the main gym. Please reach out to Coach Carpino if you have any questions.
Summer Credit Recovery for students in 10th-12th grade will begin July 17th. Students who are eligible for credit recovery received an email from Mr. Carpino with more information. Students, please check your school email. Parents of students that are eligible for credit recovery should have received a text from Mr. Carpino with more information. If you have questions, please contact the high school office.
Barton Bears Football will have a mandatory parent meeting tomorrow, June 22, at 6:00 p.m. in the Kirkland Facility. This is for all upcoming 7th-12th grade football players or for students interested in playing football. All players must have at least 1 guardian present.
There is also a Lady Bears Basketball Meeting tomorrow, June 22, at 3:00 in the HS Gym. The meeting is for any girl entering the 7th-12th grade for the 2023-2024 school year. Parents are encouraged to attend the basketball meeting. Go Bears! 🐻
